Our
Mission
at Pinewood School
The mission of the Pinewood Parent Teacher Club is to support the academic, emotional, social, and physical development of students and to enhance the teaching and learning environment at Pinewood Elementary School.
We are a group of parent volunteers who help organize and implement fundraisers
and fun activities for our school. We at Pinewood are fortunate to have
excellent teachers and an outstanding learning environment. In 2008, Pinewood
was awarded the honor of being recognized as a California Distinguished
School. As the focal point for parental involvement, the Pinewood Parent
Teacher Club is essential to the continuing excellence of our school and
we always need more volunteers.
Our meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month, September through
May, with the exception of the December meeting. December's meeting is
on the first Tuesday. We meet at Pinewood from 5:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. in
room 2. Child care is provided. All parents/guardians, faculty, and district
staff are eligible for membership. All members who subscribe to the PTC
by-laws and who pay the annual dues of $5 per voting member shall be considered
in good standing and shall be entitled to vote on any matter brought before
the PTC General Membership for a vote. Annual dues are to be paid by the
January General Membership meeting, with the exception of new enrollment.
